After Dark EndeavorsIt was another dark warm night in Earth Country. The sun had long since set, and the sky was gray and cloudy. The wind blew hard that night, sending gusts of heavy humid air through the mountainous terrain the Avatar and his friends had been traveling through, carrying with it the smells of damp grass and pinestraw that the Earth Kingdom was oh so famous for. Of course, traveling on foot through such a hilly and rocky area was a surprisingly dangerous task on a night such as this. She had had a particularly nasty fight with Sokka that night, over a particular odor he had dawned over the past several days without bathing. He referred to it as "a manly pungence", but Katara simply called it "disgusting".
